Cheddar Gorge

Cheddar Gorge and Caves towers 450 feet into the air and plunges 450 feet into the Earth. This natural and ancient spectacle, set in the heart of Somerset, is a jewel of Britain.

The area is home to two spectacular showcaves, through which flows the largest underground river system in Britain.

As part of your Day Ticket you can explore Gough’s Cave’s fascinating chambers and rock formations where audio guides can take you on your journey of discovery – available in English, Mandarin, French, German, Polish and Russian.

You can also experience the Cliff-top Walk, atop Britain’s biggest gorge which is home to diverse and rare flora and fauna of both UK and European significance. Along with other immersive attractions such as Beyond the View; a cinematic journey through the gorge, the Museum of Prehistory, Jacob’s Ladder and the Lookout Tower.

From 4th to 19th April, come and experience The Enchanted Cave. Included in your day ticket you will be able roam an underground and under cover, illuminated trail discovering mystical chambers where fairies glisten, flowers grow, crystals sparkle, and eggs glow.

The Armed Forces community receive a 25% discount on Day Tickets.
